ShopRite of Brookdale: Your Neighborhood Grocery Destination

Teresa in the bakery department is wonderful to work with. She is always attentive and takes the time to listen carefully to any specific cake requests, making sure every detail is just right. I especially appreciate how closely she matches the inspiration pictures I bring—she really has an eye for detail, and it shows in her work. Her prices are very reasonable, and the cakes are always fresh and delicious. I highly recommend Teresa to anyone looking for a beautiful, customized cake made with care.

This ShopRite had a major face-lift since the last time I visited (which was pre-pandemic in 2020). The facade reminds me of a modern farmhouse. They also paved the parking lot area across the church so there's plenty of parking available. The store is very modern and clean looking. The shelves were well stocked and carries more variety and choices compared to Stop N Shop. There is also now a self checkout line which is nice.

I wasn't sure how to load in a digital coupon so that I could use it at checkout, so I went over to customer service to ask. The lady in the booth immediately smiled, came out, and brought me over to the kiosk, where she walked me through the process completely and concisely. Her name, I believe, is Cassidy, and its an understatement to say that she was very friendly and helpful. I really feel that she went out of her way to assist me, and did so happily, professionally, and with the greatest of attitudes. Hopefully Shoprite management will find a way to recognize her for her wonderful, exemplary customer service.

One of best ShopRites around! Meat and vegetables are super fresh! Lets not forget their bakery, Always fresh and warm breads, bagels, pies and cakes! My go to ShopRite!

I go to this ShopRite often for the hot food buffet and sushi bar. I'm a vegetarian so I always get the California Veggie Roll and when they are sold out the cute couple who works the sushi bar always makes them fresh on the spot. I also enjoy the corn bread and my partner loves their fried chicken. Always upbeat and positive service. The food goes quick because it's good. A great place to grab lunch or snacks when your hungry.

While I like many things about this grocery store, I find the parking lot layout to be a nightmare. I am curious how often there are accidents or near misses. People need to be very careful walking and pushing their carts through the lot. There is nowhere safe to drop someone off safely and people do this all the time. It is just too tight of a layout. In the store the lay out of items is a bit odd. Why can’t they have similar items grouped next to each other? For example: They have got different tortillas in different places. They have some gluten free items in a special gluten free section and other items are mixed in with non-gluten free (ex: baking items, crackers, pasta). Forget about a special GF section just put them with like items. Otherwise, for the most part this is the best grocery store option around. The bakery gets high marks. Order your kid’s bday cake here! Bagels are the best grocery store bagels. Most other stuff is decent.

I purchased a birthday cake for my sister at the Brookdale ShopRite in New Jersey and it was beyond my expectations. It was so beautiful decorated. I would highly recommend going to ShopRite for any occasion cakes. The cake was so delicious as well. Plus the price was awesome.

This was my grocery store when I lived here. The renovated the store and it v is much bigger and better. Fabulous fruit and veggie selections. AMAZING BAKERY!!! Fantastic sales prices on seltzer water and basics if you become a rewards member. Great deli with takeout meals. Professional, friendly staff!!!
